Who Jesus Is…

By Michael Pink

October 7, 2021

Wherefore God also has highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name:  that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.1

The Father2 sent Jesus, the Son of God,3 to be the Savior of the world.2 He is the Son of man come to seek and to save that which was lost.4 He is the Christ,5 the only begotten Son of the Father6 who came to dwell in our hearts7 and load us daily with benefits.8

If we love Him and keep His commandments, He will love us, and manifest Himself to us.9 He is absolutely Wonderful, a Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace,10 and the Lord Jesus Christ.11 He will be merciful to your unrighteousness and your sins and iniquities He will remember no more.12

He is the way, the truth, and the life, the only way to the Father.13 He preaches the gospel to the poor, and heals the brokenhearted.  He preaches deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind.  He sets at liberty them that are bruised,14 and heals all our diseases.15

He is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.16 He redeems your life from destruction, crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagles,17 and cleanses us from all sin.18

He made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:  and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross,19 and became the author and finisher of our faith.20

He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother21 and promises to never leave us nor forsake us.22 Draw close to Him, and He will draw close to you.23 He is the firstborn among many brethren, a shield, our glory, and the lifter of our heads.24 He is the bread of life, so you won’t have to hunger or thirst.25

He is the great I AM26 and the door of the sheep27 providing you green pastures28 and still waters.29 He is the Good Shepherd and gives His life for the sheep.30 He came as a light into this world, so we wouldn’t have to be in darkness.31 He is the resurrection and the life, so we can live.32 Jesus is the true vine, His Father is the gardener, and we are the branches, living for Him to bring forth much fruit.33
